Lygon St Nursery is owned and managed by local resident Michael Khalil. Michael has transformed 245 Lygon St into a green haven and inner city plant Nursery in Brunswick East. The nursery offers a collection of quality indoor and outdoor plants, gardening products, tools and books for all your gardening needs. Lygon St Nursery is also the home of Lygon St Landscapes, a holistic landscape service for any space.
Since 2014 we have been passionately sharing our love for indoor plants, gardens and gardening. We started our humble little shop at 135 Lygon St and now we’ve grown into our new home at 245 Lygon St. We are proud to offer attentive and knowledgeable advice, landscape design services, plant hire and maintenance to Melbourne residents and businesses from both near and far.

Lygon St Nursery’s large and open shopfront opens up to a bespoke, green oasis – the outdoor nursery. A tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle, the outdoor nursery is home to many native and exotic plant varieties of quality shrubs, seedlings, herbs, citrus and bonsai.
The outdoor nursery is the perfect place for idling the afternoon away.

Plant availability is always changing and we do our best to supply the best quality plants as they become available. Come and see us in store or contact us for more information on availability.
STOCKISTS
Importantly, we also stock the essential gardening tools, fertilisers, potting mixes and products for pest and diseases. We stock reputable products from Australian owned suppliers including : Organic Crop Protectants, Grow Better, Harrys Garden Products, Seasol, Bokashi Composting Australia, Green Magazine and many others. However, we are also pleased to be able to stock Burgon and Ball tools and gifts, endorsed for quality by the Royal Horticultural Society.
The Lygon St Nursery also proudly stocks the work of local Brunswick and Australian artists including:

Every inch of Lygon St Nursery’s shop front is packed with indoor plants and pots. The indoor jungle illustrates our belief that indoor plants improve mental health and overall wellbeing.
The number of people living in high-rise apartments has doubled in recent times. As a result, the staff at the Lygon St Nursery are passionate about educating people about the benefits of indoor plants.
Once you step into our little shop front and you breathe in the fresh air you’ll understand why indoor greenery is so essential to your wellbeing. Our customers often walk in and breath a sigh of relief.
