About This Project
Lygon St Nursery worked with the clients of this Coburg Landscape design and construction project to simplify the existing garden.
The client wanted to unify the backyard into one usable space. Firstly, we removed a large garage which previously divided the backyard. We then replaced it with a light and open pergola for climbing plants. It provides a nice little space in the garden to sit under to enjoy a summer BBQ. The cobblestones and exposed aggregate paving was used throughout the backyard to unify all the different spaces.
We included new garden beds and lawn in the backyard and a small vegetable garden area in a sunny spot behind the shed.
Each space in the garden has a specific use in mind. However, the consistent planting and material palette helps to draw everything together.
