Lygon St Nursery collaborated with the clients of this Brunswick East landscape design to create a practical space that maximises area.
The courtyard is versatile and although small, perfect for entertaining. The brick paving, inbuilt timber seat and timber decking provide maximum function without compromising quality.
A produce garden sits on top of a corten steel storage shed. The back gate opens up to the laneway with a timber gate and recycled brick fence. As a result, the gate provides a stunning natural backdrop to the garden.
Lygon St Nursery collaborated with the client during the entire process. This included landscape design, obtaining building permits and landscape construction. We also engaged specialist fabricators Lump Sculpture Studio to fabricate the corten shed.
It was important to consider recycled materials. Specifically, we used recycled red bricks.
The landscape design and planting palette is simple. However, the garden is elegant and adheres to the client’s needs and desires.
